Tomb Raider Definitive Edition runs at 60 FPS on PS4, 30 on Xbox One

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, the upcoming next-gen remaster of Crystal Dynamics’ excellent reboot, has been confirmed to run at 60 frames per second on PS4 while the Xbox One version is rumoured to only manage 30.

The news broke in a recent interview on Twitch with executive producer Scott Amos. Amos confirmed that the PS4 version aims for 60fps but did not comment on the Xbox One version.

However, a writer at Rocket Chainsaw claims to have heard from “verified sources” that while both versions run at a native resolution of 1080p, the Xbox One framerate averages at around 30fps while the PS4 lies at around 60.

Whether or not it matters to you, it’s an interesting statistic and a good example of the difference in power between the two consoles.
