PS4 Out Now In Europe!

PlayStation 4 is now available across much of Europe! Well, sort of – stock seems to have flown off the shelves overnight and from what we’ve seen, it looks like it might be tricky to find any consoles today unless you’re picking up a pre-order.

Midnight openings proved extremely popular, with consoles and popular bundles selling like crazy to queues of eager PlayStation fans. Stock was so short that some stores were only selling overpriced store-specific bundles, often coming in at just shy of £600.

And this morning, the cupboard is bare. Nobody seems to have any left, though don’t let that stop you phoning around local stores to try and find one! If you got one, welcome to the next generation! And if not, don’t panic…

Where can I get a PS4?

Give local supermarkets, chains and indie stores a ring – you might get lucky. Check back in with them again after the weekend, too – we were told by several stores this morning that they would be starting to sell uncollected reservations as of Monday. Failing that, shopto.net is still guaranteeing delivery before Christmas or, if you’re in more of a hurry, CEX is selling PS4s at the somewhat inflated price of £520. If you were lucky enough to get one, though, CEX is even trying to tempt you into selling it on by offering £430 for PS4s – a profit of £80 for your trouble, although doing so will only perpetuate this scalping silliness. Best of luck in your search!
