PS+ in January: Borderlands 2, DmC, Don’t Starve and more!

The EU PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection freebies for January have just been revealed and by all accounts, it’s basically the best update yet.

Joining the collection of awesome free stuff on Christmas Eve are Gearbox’s wonderful RPG shooter Borderlands 2 and Ninja Theory’s reinvention of Dante in DmC for PS3, plus gothic Monster Hunter wannabe Soul Sacrifice and gorgeous fighter BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend for Vita. PS4 owners don’t need to feel left out, either – they’ll be getting Klei’s grim survival game Don’t Starve for free as soon as it launches on 8 January.

Grid 2, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen and Sonic And All-Stars Racing Transformed will be rotated out on 24 December, so make sure you grab them before then. Contrast, meanwhile, will be hanging around until 8 January, when it’ll be replaced by Don’t Starve. Resogun will still be free though, so don’t worry about missing out if you still haven’t got a PS4 yet.

Meanwhile, Microsoft’s similar scheme Games With Gold will offer Xbox players… Gears Of War. Oh, and Shoot Many Robots. Oh well.
