New PlayStation Store ‘Does A SonyLOL’

Hey look! It's the thing you don't have right now! Yesterday.

The PlayStation Store revamp was launched this week! Then un-launched, as it didn’t work very well. Oh, Sony.

Some countries do have access to the new system, so it can’t have all been bad (and I actually got the new Store in the UK for a bit), but the UK and a few other countries have seen it pulled and the launch delayed.

There was even a statement from Sony, as reported by Eurogamer. We love statements! And Eurogamer!

“The phased launch of the new PlayStation Store has been temporarily postponed in some territories as teething issues related to the global roll-out of the Store are being addressed and resolved.

“It is really important to us that the best possible Store experience is delivered and we appreciate your patience as we resolve these matters,” the statement continued.

“The new PlayStation Store is now live in the following countries: Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, UAE, Kuwait , Qatar, India, Israel and South Africa.”

The time we had with the new Store revealed… umm… not much. It had a nice aesthetic and cool layered promotional artwork aspects. And it wasn’t so damn blue.

Other than that? IT’S JUST A SHOP. GO AND ENJOY YOUR FRIDAY.
