Hotline Miami coming to PS3 and Vita this Spring

Indie PC hit and one of our favourite games of last year (yes, we play things on other platforms) Hotline Miami is coming to PS3 and Vita this Spring! Developer Dennaton Games and publisher Devolver Digital announced the news earlier today. There’s no word of any changes, so assume it’s a straight port. Not that anything is wrong with that, of course.

Hotline Miami offers slick, stylised action in a bleary, surreal 80s setting with some of the best music in any videogame, ever. Death is never more than a twitch away, with frequent restarts and different tactics necessary to gun your way through the really tough levels. If that sounds annoying, trust us, it isn’t. It’s compulsive, massively rewarding and great fun.

We wonder how it will handle with a pad (or Vita), as the game is quite reliant on a mouse for it’s extremely precise controls. Still, we have faith. It’s a cross-buy game, so you only need to buy it once to play it on both PS3 and Vita. Neato.

Hotline Miami has sold over 300,000 copies on PC and the success has led to a sequel entering development. We can’t wait. If you can’t either, why not play it on PC right now? It’s only like a fiver, and will run on pretty much everything. Trust us, you’ll enjoy it.
