EA Announces Army Of Two: The Devil’s Cartel, Fist-Bumps Canned?

As if your week couldn’t get any better, what with Britain winning gold medals and the sun actually shining, EA has dropped the huge news that Army Of Two Three (or, as EA prefer, The Devil’s Cartel) is coming out March 2013. Fistbump!

Or maybe not. The released blurb states that it’s a “refresh” for the series, with two new operators (called, of course, Alpha and Bravo, who we can only assume will be out to paint the town beige) dropped into Mexico to do battle in a ‘gritty’ environment yadda yadda yadda.

Which seems a bit odd, as most of the appeal of the last game was the fact that it was totally, totally insane. It was, after all, the game that had a whole morality system built around things like Tigers going extinct and gun-toting children. Tasteless it may very well have been, but there was also a degree of crazy to it that gave it an edge.

Of course, nothing is really known about the latest installment thus far, so we’ll hold our judgment, but let’s be clear, EA: if there’s not an option to bling up our guns with zebra print, we are out.
