US Navy says games are good for your brain too

Science has recently revealed that gaming is good for your brain, that it can make parts of your brain bigger and that it does not give you rickets and, seemingly on a roll, science has announced that gaming is good for your brain in yet another new way. This time it’s the US Navy’s Office of Naval Research’s turn to step up with the results of a study that show people who play games regularly performing 10-20 per cent better in perceptual and cognitive tests.

It’s nice to be getting all this positive news about games, but let’s not get carried away. All good things in moderation. Gaming for a couple of hours a day might be a good thing, but gaming for 17 hours straight is likely to fry your brain so bad you can’t even drink milk without pouring half of it down your chin. Science has demonstrated that too.
