U2 premiered new video on VidZone

-1

New U2 single I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight from the album No Line On The Horizon has seen its animated music video premier exclusively in the UK on VidZone ahead of the single’s release on 17 August. The new video is an animated short directed by award-winning filmmaker David O’Reilly. If you’ve seen Son Of Rambow or Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy then you’ll have already seen some of his excellent animated work.

The video to I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight is the first animated video for a U2 track since Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me,  Kill Me in 1995, from the Batman Forever soundtrack (a substantially better song than Seal’s Kiss From A Rose, but perhaps not as good as Method Man’s The Riddler).

The video tells the story of a number of different, parallel characters. “All of the characters are tipped over the edge, and this leads to them making changes in their lives,” explained O’Reilly. It’s available to watch on VidZone via PSN right now.
