Resistance Devs Going Multiplatform?

According to IGN Insomniac Games, the maker of Resistance and Ratchet & Clank, could be abandoning PS3 exclusivity in favour of multi-platform development. This news comes from what IGN describes as a ‘trusted source’. Despite being long associated with the PlayStation Insomniac is not owned by Sony, so it is perfectly free to develop games for whoever it likes, but chances are Ratchet and Resistance will not be seen on other platforms.

Sony and Insomniac have chosen not to respond to this rumour thus far, but we’ll keep you updated if anything new emerges. If this turns out to be true it will be interesting to find out what happens to the two franchises Insomniac has helped to nurture in the last few years.
