PSN Likely to Get Dino Crisis, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

Dino Crisis and both Resident Evil 2 and Resi 3: Nemesis have been rated for the PS3 by the ERSB, the US ratings board, meaning they’re more likely than not on their way to the PlayStation Network. While that doesn’t mean the trio will definitely be making their way to European shores, it does give us hope for the future. The move likely comes as a part of Sony’s push to release more classic PSOne titles on PSN, along with Capcom’s commitment to the digital distribution platform.

Frankly, the chance to play through the original Dino Crisis doesn’t fill us with too much joy – released in 1999 it was essentially Resi with dinosaurs, and nowhere near as good as the 2000 sequel (though, strangely, about 400 times better than the third in the series, released in 2003 on Xbox).

Resident Evil 2 and 3, however, is still something to get excited about with both games representing some of the best action the series has to offer and neither dividing audiences in the way Resi 5 did recently. Basically, it’s widely accepted that they’re both excellent games, and many held the second game as the best in the series for a long time. Though that time did end when the exceptional Resident Evil 4 finally surfaced.

Better get those credit cards ready for some more spending.
