Play Issue 201 Out Now!

After the momentous and raucous celebration that was Issue 200 we would forgive you for thinking that this issue would be a little like the morning after the night before. Hungover and groggy you might think this was the magazine equivalent of us desperately trying to shovel down some scrambled egg and bacon, holding our stomachs in the hope of keeping it all down, occasionally retching at the smell of the orange juice on the table and then deciding to give it all up and just get back into bed… Thankfully none of these things is true.

No, here on Play we’ve gone all out yet again to give you as many exclusives and as many fresh opinions from the world of gaming as ever. First and foremost we have our exclusive hands on with Homefront’s multiplayer. It’s one of the most exciting new IPs coming in 2011, a game that has blown us away with every viewing and we were the first to check out its Battle Commander mode. Find out about the vehicles, the weapons and how Homefront’s new modes work.

Of course we also have a whole host of other very exciting previews lead by probably the most exciting game of the moment and more or less the bookies favourite for game of 2011 already, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Get all the info and our impressions on Drake’s latest adventure as well as some predictions of where the game will go. We also have hands on with Red Faction: Armageddon, Killzone 3 and Dungeon Siege III alongside first looks at Mass Effect 3 and Binary Domain.

In the features we’re very proud to present our 2010 Burton Awards (in honour of Resident Evil’s Barry Burton) for all the best games of the last year (and a couple of the worst). We consider the wonderful jappery of the Uncharted series so far in Play Loves and take apart the PlayStation Move with the help of our sister publication How It Works.

And that’s not even the end of it, because alongside our review of 2010, exclusive news from Dragon Age II, inFamous 2, DiRT 3, MotorStorm: Apocalypse, Mortal Kombat and Platinum Games we also have a pretty stellar review section. LittleBigPlanet 2, Dead Space 2 and Mass Effect 2 are all reviewed this issue. Hopefully we can point you in the right direction of which one is best for you to splash you cash on this month.

Oh, and if you fancy you can win a copy of Dead Space: Aftermath, the new animated film by Anchor Bay Entertainment and Manga.

Issue 201 of Play is available at all good newsagents and supermarkets as well as via our eShop and available digitally of iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad from iTunes.
