Naughty Dog Fancies Uncharted On PSP

Speaking at GDC, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells expressed his interest in seeing the adventures of Nathan Drake expanding to Sony’s handheld console the PSP. The Uncharted games have thus far been limited to the PS3, but many of Naughty Dog’s titles have been brought to the PSP in the past such as Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter.

“I think it would be fantastic to see the game (move) onto a handheld system,” Wells revealed. “Each one of the episodes is sort of like a standalone thing and I think we could do that pretty easily.” However, Wells admitted Naughty Dog probably wouldn’t be the studio to make Uncharted on PSP, just as it didn’t with its previous games.

“If we can find a partner to work with, I’d love to do that,” he said. “We definitely wouldn’t do it ourselves. We’re trying to just focus on the PS3 technology and platform right now. But, if we can’t find a partner, then maybe we’re going to have to find a budget ourselves.”
