Motion-controlled Pro Evo on the way?

Shingo ‘Seabass’ Takatsuka is known for making reasonably outlandish claims – like, for example, that the next PES game will reinvent football as we know it, or something else we just made up to illustrate the point. But when he claims Konami is looking to incorporate motion control into its next game then you start paying attention. Speaking to IGN, Seabass said:

“Up until 2009 we believed all the platforms should have the same controls and features. That’s no longer the case because there are specific controllers for different machines, what with Natal and the PlayStation motion-sensor system.

“I cannot say much, but I can say we are looking at integrating those devices into our games very aggressively.”

It seems even less outlandish when you remember the Wii versions of PES over the last couple of years have been motion-controlled affairs. They work pretty well, so would the same method be transferred across to the PS3’s MoCon? Or will it be something daft whereby you have to physically play football in Real Life to make your players move around? Time will tell.
