EA Reveals 2010 Lineup

In a conference call off the back of disappointing financial results, EA’s John Riccitiello has revealed an exciting lineup of games due for release in the next financial year, ending March 2011. Those games include the previously announced, but undated Crysis 2 and Dead Space 2 as well as rumoured or expected games like FIFA World Cup 2010 and possibly even The Sims on next gen consoles.

In his summary of the lineup he told us to expect, “a great new version of Medal of Honor, a revitalized Need for Speed, Sims on console, FIFA in a World Cup year, an innovative and new take on Madden, Dead Space 2, Crysis… an MMA game, and many others.” We would imagine that the Madden update is probably for Wii and that the ‘revitalised’ NFS is a reference to Burnout creator Criterion’s take on the franchise. The Sims on console most likely means a first outing on next gen consoles, but could also mean more Wii spin-offs. We’ll have to wait and see how these all pan out.
