DC Universe Online fixed, millions of Catwoman screens

DC Universe Online has been fixed! Not that it was broken. It’s flaky in places, glitchy in others but it was never really broken. The patches corrects the usual boring stuff such as server stability, an issue where software overclocking would cause gameplay to appear laggy should have been resolvzzzzzzzzzz.

No-one cares. Stuff is fixed. More importantly, there’s new online stuff to play around with – an eight-player raid inside the Batcave, Catwoman races and missions, new appearance items, new Bane duo, an auction house and plenty of new missions and events. Sony has also spoken about the update it has planned for next month, which will make it easier to chat with other players (or shout at them when they take your loot or whatever) and The Penguin should be on the way at some point too.

It’s hard to gauge the level of success DC Universe Online has had, thanks to various conflicting reports and anecdotes, but I’m going to keep my subscription going for a while longer. If the monthly content keeps on rolling out, then even better. Is anyone else still ploughing through Metropolis and Gotham? My character names are Shinpey and Touchman, and though I’m not online that often, gimme a yell whenever you see me online.
