Banned Resistance player sues Sony

Hybrid
In other news, the Chimera are suing the human race after being banned from the planet Earth.

California resident Erik Estavillo has filed a suit against Sony, seeking $55,000 in damages for the “pain and suffering” he’s been put through since his PSN account came under the banhammer. It’s not clear exactly what he did to get banned, but he’s claiming his First Amendment rights – that’s the freedom of speech – have been violated, so he’s presumably been mouthing off and causing offence to other players. We’re pretty sure his right to freedom of speech hasn’t been violated, as he still has the right to say whatever he said without fear of persecution. It’s just that the First Amendment does not oblige Sony to provide a platform for trash talk. Estavillo seems to believe it does because it’s the only way he can socialise, being disabled by numerous psychological disorders including agoraphobia – an irrational fear of crowds. He’s also upset that, in accordance with the PSN’s terms and conditions, credit in his PSN Wallet will not be refunded.

It depends on what he’s been saying i suppose.I agree totally with freedom of speech but if hejust abuses people just for fun then he deserves to be beheaded-then banned.
