Who Should Guest Star In Soul Calibur V?

As limited details of the return of Soul Calibur V begin to emerge (and with plenty more expected from E3) we thought we would make a shortlist of characters we think could fit nicely into Namco’s latest sword-clashing fighter as guest stars. Some make sense, some don’t, but we’d love to see them all take on the likes of Patroklos and Siegfried.

Eddie Riggs – Brütal Legend
Armed with both an axe and g another axe (meaning guitar) Eddie is a roadie prepared for anything. His fighting prowess didn’t shine through as brightly as it could have done in Brütal Legend, but Soul Calibur could be the headline stage he needs.

Alien/Predator – Alien Vs Predator

If Yoda and Darth Vader made sense last time then why not these two intergalactic misfits? With the Alien’s sharp tale and agility and the Predator’s all-round fighting skills they would be formidable opponents.

Ryu Hayabusa – Ninja Gaiden

Making a big return for Ninja Gaiden III, an appearance in Soul Calibur V could be just what this ailing ninja needs to get back into the limelight. The only issue would be how many weapons he would be allowed to carry into battle.

Bayonetta – Bayonetta

The number of weapons issue carries over to this kick-ass witch too as Bayonetta is probably far too well armed for the Soul Calibur crowd. However, her magic fits in perfectly so we’d love to see her catsuit kicking around here.

Big Daddy – BioShock

Slow and lumbering? Yes, but also deadly with a giant drill on the end of his arm. There could also be an argument for chucking in the Big Sister given her speed and arm blade. They would tear Soul Calibur to pieces.

War – Darksiders

Big sword? Check. Attitude? Check. Mystical abilities? Check. Yes, Darksiders’ War is a perfect fit for the Soul Calibur universe, riding in on his steed Ruin. He definitely has the moves for this game.

Nariko – Heavenly Sword

Her fluid style may almost be a little too flamboyant and graceful for the world of Soul Calibur, but we think Nariko would make a superb addition to the roster. Plus we’d love to see her in a game again.

The Prince – Katamari

He’s from a Namco Bandai game so it’s not entirely implausable. Obviously he doesn’t have a sword, but how would you fight a man rolling a katamari at you? Not exactly an easy thing to take on.

Scott Pilgrim – Scott Pilgrim Vs The World

With his awesome flaming sword and renowned air combo abilities Scott Pilgrim was born to appear in the Soul Calibur series. His signature jeans and t-shirt look may not offer much protection though.
