Perhaps as a response to all the attention being paid to Microsoft this week (damn them and their dedicated games conference!) Sony has launched a mesmerising new God Of War III trailer for you to drool over. It’s got plenty of gameplay, some set piece sneak peaks and lots of angry voice over from Kratos himself. Best bit is probably at the end though. “PS3, It only does Vengeance.” Check out the trailer after the jump.

Bethesda has released the very first glimpse of Fallout: New Vegas, the brand new RPG to be published by the makers of Fallout 3 and developed by Obsidian, who’s members include creators of Fallout 2, Knights Of The Old Republic 2 and Sega’s upcoming Alpha Protocol. We first heard about Fallout: New Vegas last year at a Bethesda press event in London, but now you can see it for yourself here.

At the VGAs over the weekend EA revealed its first look at a revamped, rebooted and re-imagined Medal Of Honor title that moves the series from the tragedy and heroism of the Second World War to the perhaps murkier, but no less heroic or tragic theatre of Afghanistan. The trailer gave glimpses of a great deal, but it left us with as many questions as answers and thankfully the game’s executive producer Greg Goodrich is offered some insightful answers.

In the grand tradition of ‘announcements we actually didn’t see happening’ this has to rank pretty high up. A reboot of the franchise launched back in 2003, set to compete with the likes of GTA IV – yep, it’s a new True Crime title.

Arkham Asylum 2? They’re mad. While we’re excited to hear that Rocksteady is going to make another Batman game, we’re a little confused as to why it has to be called Arkham Asylum 2. A case for changing the name later on in development we think. Anyway, this debut trailer shows us that the Joker is alive, slightly unwell and clearly up to more mischief as his goons roam the streets and drive around in bumper cars.

It was no surprise when EA announced it was rebooting Medal Of Honor into a modern setting a few weeks back and it’s now no surprise to see that the debut trailer looks more than a little bit like a Modern Warfare trailer, sitting somewhere between the gritty drama of Call Of Duty 4 and the blockbuster action of Modern Warfare 2, only with a lead character who sports a huge beard

We got our first glimpse of Ubisoft’s latest Prince Of Persia title The Forgotten Sands this weekend at the VGAs and the reception to it has been mixed. Forgotten Sands is clearly making a move back to the last run of games that began with Sands Of Time, pasting over this generation’s Prince title. We doubt that is any true reflection of Ubisoft Montreal’s efforts last year; rather it is an admittance that the old style games fit more comfortably with the upcoming Hollywood adaptation starring Jake Gyllenhaal.
