After the well received Darksiders had hit shelves Play was given the chance to chat exclusively with the game's creator and developer's founding father, Joe Madureira. As a legendary comic book artist with credits on such publications as Uncanny X-Men and The Ultimates we were very excited to have the chance to grill Joe Mad, who was candid in his assessment of the Darksiders development process and his place in the industry.

The original 50 Cent game, Bulletproof, was a diabolical mess and, when we heard there was a follow-up in the works that would see you, as Fiddy of course, shooting your way through an unspecified Middle Eastern country on the trail of a gang of thieves who’ve stolen the crystal skull you received as payment for a concert, we were somewhat gleefully expecting another laughable disaster. It was rumoured to the point where we just out and out believed it - mainly because we just want new Red Faction and Saints Row - but THQ have now confirmed the existence of both titles, along with a new Darksiders game and Homefront. As is the common vogue to boost those all important first week sales THQ is offering a whole bunch of pre-order incentives for Darksiders in order to get you that little bit more excited. Either the voiceover actor on this new trailer of Vigil Games’ epic chop-‘em-up has one of those nasty colds that’s been going ‘round lately, or he’s supposed to sound like a demon. We think it’s actually probably the latter, although he does sound uncannily like the way Play news editor Jon did on the phone last week when he called in sick.
