Gamers aren't traditionally know for their good dress sense and, to be honest, that's entirely fair. Generally, we have no idea of what the latest clothing trends are or how to co-ordinate our wardrobe, whatever that means. Maybe games themselves are teaching us all the wrong lessons. We investigated…
The Super Street Fighter IV screens just keep rolling in, with this new batch focusing mostly on the art of kicking people really hard or, if you will, getting kicked really hard. New characters Cody, Guy and Adon feature, along with Street Fighter IV favourites Rose, Sagat and Chun-Li. Good ol' Chin-Li.
Capcom has released details of the new online modes in Super Street Fighter IV and as we were both hoping for and expecting, they both make use of the timeless ‘winner stays on’ system.
Endless mode is nothing more and nothing less than ‘winner stays on’, with players simply queuing up for their chance to take on the reigning winner. The potentially long waits might put off some challengers, but we would hope that those queuing would at least ...
Capcom has finally lifted the lid on its secret Street Fighter project by announcing Super Street Fighter IV, a sequel to this year's mega-hit. This Super upgrade of the game will feature new characters, new online features and rebalanced characters. Capcom is looking at releasing Super Street Fighter IV for spring 2010. Hit jump for first screens.
Go to this teaser site and see if you can make out what it is that it’s supposed to be teasing. The biggest clue is in the URL, which includes the term ‘newwarrior’, suggesting that a new character is to be added to the Street Fighter IV roster, in premium downloadable form we’d wager. But there’s also been talk if a new Street Fighter IV edition, so maybe that’s going to be announced at ...
The Japanese official Street Fighter blog is putting fans through one hell of a trial by teasing the announcement of another Street Fighter game, most likely a spin-off to SF IV. Natsuki Shiozawa promised last week that she would say more about a sequel this week, but has now only said that we'll hear more soon.
In yet another Gamescom announcement that shows Sony are really making a big push this year, it's been revealed that the upcoming Home 1.3 update will finally include the ability to launch games from within the Home... sphere. We say "finally", as we were lead to believe this was a key feature and one set to be present from the very beginning. Well, better late than never, yes?
The feature only extends to cover a ...
News in bits so small you might get them caught in your teeth.
If you were directed to this post from the pages of Play magazine then you'll know exactly how Play's editor-in-chief was transformed into Sagat, but if not, let us explain. This image is actually taken from a cool feature on the official Street Fighter website called My Fist, Your Face that allows you to upload a picture of your face and have it superimposed on a Street Fighter character in a brief clip of in-game action. It magically animates the mouth and everything. The ...

I’ve always loved the PlayStation D-pad, but it’s only just recently that I’ve realised exactly what’s so good about it. I hadn’t really used it for ages, what with most PS3 action games emphasising stick use, but then I went to Capcom to play Street Fighter IV. I tried to use a joystick, really I did, but after about an hour of clumsiness and frustration I finally gave up and requested a DualShock3. The difference once I had that familiar D-pad nestling beneath my thumb ...
