According to Reuters we can expect a sequel to Dead Space next year and the Resident Evil brand is as strong as ever, making up around 50% of the total horror genre market. On the whole the horror genre remains a strong one for the industry with great success attributed to games like Resident Evil 5, Dead Space, Left 4 Dead, Alone In The Dark and Devil May Cry.

Among the many exciting announcements from TGS over the weekend, one of the most exciting was that Resident Evil would be supporting the PS3's motion-control technology when it launches next year. This in turn led to speculation that some of the Wii's very well-received Resident Evil rail shooters (Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles) could be given HD upgrades to appear on the PS3, but Resi 5 producer Jun Takeuchi isn't so sure.

Dino Crisis and both Resident Evil 2 and Resi 3: Nemesis have been rated for the PS3 by the ERSB, the US ratings board, meaning they're more likely than not on their way to the PlayStation Network. While that doesn't mean the trio will definitely be making their way to European shores, it does give us hope for the future. The move likely comes as a part of Sony's push to release more classic PSOne titles on PSN, along with Capcom's ...
