Capcom has announced a one week only price cut on Resident Evil 5′s well received on the PlayStation Network. Starting today and lasting until 22 October the multiplayer expansion of this year’s biggest zombie hit will cost only £2.39 / €2.99 across Europe (compared to the £3.99 it costs at all other times).

Speaking at Comic Con in San Diego, Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi revealed that it is still unclear what direction the franchise is going in the future, or who will be the one to steer it there. Takeuchi revealed that himself, Masachika Kawata (producer of Resident Evil 4) and a third, unnamed producer are playing blackjack to decide, “who is going to be stuck with the responsibility of making the next episode in the series.”
