Play received this letter from a Sony executive (who ‘definitely isn’t’ fake) concerning the PSN downtime. It’s an interesting read (that ‘definitely isn’t’ made-up).
PSN will be closed down for maintenance later today with the official cut off point being 4pm. Sony hopes to have it back up and running by 5:30pm so it hopefully won’t disturb your gaming time too much. The downtime includes the Store and online games. That’s about all there is to say, but at least now you know.
