According to Reuters we can expect a sequel to Dead Space next year and the Resident Evil brand is as strong as ever, making up around 50% of the total horror genre market. On the whole the horror genre remains a strong one for the industry with great success attributed to games like Resident Evil 5, Dead Space, Left 4 Dead, Alone In The Dark and Devil May Cry.
Variety is reporting that EA has not only auctioned the rights to a live action Dead Space movie, but is also working on Dead Space 2 and 3.
