An instantly tiresome game free from
anything genuinely new or interesting.
It’s a sad, sorry, stupefying excuse for
alliteration, sorry we mean game. Best
you just ignore it.
We’ve not got much
else to say about
it… cold out isn’t it.

What a stupid name. We
remember when ‘Unleashed’
used to be the suffix, but now
it’s just blended into the rest of
the title. Now it’s got a suffix for the already
suffixed, with ‘On The Edge’: a forgettable,
indistinguishable extension to an equally
forgettable and indistinguishable game.
Given the ridiculousness of the title you’d
at least expect the reason for this game being
bad to be an exciting one. Maybe it had too
much bling thrown in, or the stunts were
too chaotic. No – unfortunately the reasons
for this dirt-track racer being so poor are
boring. The control is dreadful, regardless of
you choosing to be the two-wheeled MX or
the four-wheeled ATV. It’s a bit of a cliché,
but it honestly feels like you’re turning the
track and not the vehicles, whilst performing
stunts is such a timid affair you may as
well not do it. There’s also the relentless,
headache-inducing buzz of the engines and
the muffled-hairdryer ‘roar’ of the crowd, the
excruciatingly dull browns of the tracks and
the fact that four in a race is never going to be
enough. This is grotesque stuff, made to feel
all the more shallow by the inclusion of thin
stores and all-too-similar modes. And all that
from a game with a 200-word title.
