One minute and twelve seconds. That’s
how long it takes Midnight Club 3 to load a
‘quick’ race from the options screen. We
timed it. Frankly, after a reverent 72-second
silence spent staring at an inanimate
loading screen, the game had to be good
to stop us splitting blood.
MC 3 fanatics will be pleased to
discover that PSP DUB is pretty much the
same game as its PS2 counterpart. It’s
immensely fast, satisfyingly playable and
– as the races are quick bursts of
adrenaline in themselves – is very well
suited to the handheld format. Rockstar

But those loading times… even loading
the car model in a garage takes enough
precious seconds to cause you to sigh
uncontrollably. Surely a 2D picture would
have sufficed here to save our frustrations?
We’re on a limited battery life
here, doncha know.
