A quacktactular giggle from start to finish
combined with surprisingly valid puzzles
make for what is being touted as the best
game ever made by many in the office.
Like fl0w, this is a nice little title, to
offset the big budget offerings.

How dull have PS3 games become?
Not in a profound sense; we’re not
suggesting that the PS3 is anything
but a pant-wettingly exciting piece of kit here.
No, we’re talking about the more concrete
side of things. Take Resistance for example.
Great game, but soaked in a kind of brownish
hue reminiscent of your parent’s wedding
cine film. MotorStorm, again, a fantastic flight
through chaos, but well… it’s a bit brown, isn’t
it? Heavenly Sword, truly thrilling, but a little
on the russet side. The list goes on, and whilst
these titles are perhaps more worthy of your
attention, titles like SCEE’s Super Rub-A-Dub
demand a look, if nothing else but for the
riotous rampage of colour they offer.
It’s a basic principle: pretend your Sixaxis
is a shallow, strangely shaped bathtub in
which a cutesy rubber ducky sits bobbling
about. Tilt the tub and – in contravention
to numerous laws of physics – your ducky
ambles off in that direction. It’s your goal to
collect all the smaller ducks on the stage
and deliver them safely to the plughole.
Marvellously simple and utterly charming,
this lovely puzzling action continues through
numerous stages and your performance
is rated up against others in the online
scoreboard. The tilt works graciously well,
and serves to remind you that things don’t
need to be as brown as they are.
