Controlling the snake is just awkward with the stick,
and the design style is a bit meek. Still, Snakeball itself
is a challenging and addictive
game, but the messy, manic
annoyance of it all lets down a
game that works well in multiplayer.

Snakeball is a new sport, allegedly. You collect balls to
make your snake longer, or you can shoot them into
the goal to score points. How’s that for a concept?
It’s actually a bit annoying, as it turns out.
It’s just a mess from the start. The R button
controls the boost, which isn’t really too helpful, while goals
in the game are inconsequential due to the higher-scoring
and more competitive combat in the game. Meanwhile, the
analogue stick seems to work against you, even when you’re
merely trying to steer away from the enemies. It’s too twitchy,
and we don’t like it.
Consequently, the game comes across as a weird hybrid
between Air Hockey, Snake and Super Stardust HD. With
the unnecessary extra modes, an uninteresting set of Sony
Ericsson logos for balls and some appalling-looking character
models, we’d only recommend this if you were going to give it a
go in the multiplayer. Still, that’d be a huge waste of your time,
because you should be playing Warhawk. Do that instead.
