It won’t take long to get the most out of Cocoreccho!,
but the £1.99 price tag is insignificant, making this
LocoRoco experience worthwhile.
Still, it isn’t lengthy enough to be
a game, and after a week it’ll lie
forgotten on your hard drive.

We find it very hard to believe
that Cocoreccho! was ever
conceived as a screensaver.
Sure, the one level of this release is
hardly enough to bless it with the title
of ‘game’, but at £1.99 this is more than
just a throwaway bit of fun, with enough
strategy and depth to be enjoyable.
Instead of tilting the world of
LocoRoco as you did in the PSP
version, you control a butterfly with
good intentions. Your objective is to
fly around a large arena, waking up
the LocoRoco before guiding them to
various exits, or, alternatively, larger
parts of the level that you unlock
after beating other areas in the game.
There’s also some mini-games in there
for good measure.
It’s a good package for a tiny price.
Controlling the butterfly is rarely
annoying, while flipping the Sixaxis to
shake branches and perform other
tasks is great fun. The LocoRoco are
still as twee as ever, and the level design
is tight and varied. A ‘must-have’ for a
few hours of innocent bliss.
