Dragon Age 3's concept art, yesterday.

Dragon Age 3 has had some details released along with a few pieces of concept art. Apparently Dragon Age 3: Inquisition, as it’s known, will have player-owned castles, customisable followers, massive playing areas and a few other bits and bobs.

So what better point to bring this up: Dragon Age 2 wasn’t as bad as the internet seems to think it is. In fact, Dragon Age 2 was pretty bloody good, and better than DA: Origins in many ways.

Yeah, I went there.

Okay, so it had repeating areas and the more action-based combat put some people off, but was it a bad game? Absolutely not. If you think it was, you need to reconsider what you consider to be ‘bad’.

Plus the Kirkwall thing was brilliant – a small, contained and involved progression of a region over a number of years. What’s not to like?

I’ve lived with the shame of liking Dragon Age 2 for a while now; it’s only fair that I bring it up again now Dragon Age 3 is starting to show its face.

And here is more of its face:

Any release date stated? Really looking forward to this. I too hated DA: Origins for its clumsiness and boring exploration. Hopefully this will be more 2 than Origins.
