Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag release date leaked
Henry Rollins not yet confirmed.
The recently revealed Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will release on 29th October 2013, according to a quickly-removed post on Ubisoft’s website. It’s coming to both current consoles and the next generation, although we don’t know specifically when for each console.
Black Flag is set in 1715 in the lovely Caribbean, players taking control of pirate assassin Edward Kenway, grandfather of AC3′s Connor. The naval combat was the best thing about the otherwise underwhelming AC3, so we look forward to that aspect being greatly expanded for this nautical-based sequel. A huge open world of Caribbean islands is promised, according to a leaked map from a few days ago. All these leaks for a game based on the water…
More details on Black Flag are expected next week after the slightly awkward reveal. Will the rubbish combat be fixed? Will players be able to customize their own unique pirate ships? Will Desmond make a return (we bloody hope not.) This is the first time in the series a numbered sequel has followed another after a single year, so we will be interested to see how different it is.
