Featured 'A' Game: Alone in the Dark |
Maybe a return to the original’s Thirties
Americana backdrop could have been the
gimmick the franchise needed; a survival
horror that splits its levels into episodic
investigations like the X-Files. Hope
you’re listening for next time Atari.

Featured 'B' Game: Burnout Dominator |
Burnout Dominator may be more of the same but we love the formula anyway, so who cares? And along with God Of War 2, it proves there’s still tons of life left in the PS2. But, still, we’re hankering for the PS3 version.

Featured 'G' Game: Guitar Hero Rocks The 80's |
If you’ve ever found an exciting new job but had to work a notice period before leaving the one you’re in, then that should give you some idea of the effort and enthusiasm Harmonix (now developing Rock Band) has put into its final Guitar Hero release.

Featured 'H' Game: Hitman Trilogy |
Silent Assassin and Contracts are certainly somewhat easy to fault and, in some respects, haven’t aged that well. Especially compared with Blood Money. But getting three great games at this price is just far too good an opportunity to miss.

Featured 'K' Game: King of Fighters XI |
The latest KOF edition is not exactly the most essential beat-’em-up on the market, but fans of the long-running series should find enough new material and differences here to make it worthwhile.

Featured 'M' Game: Manhunt 2 |
Manhunt 2 is flawed and littered with things that are plain nasty. But if you can see past its flaws and revel in its evilness, you’re sure to have a grim but fun time. Plus it’s banned, and we all know only the cool things in life get banned.

|
Featured 'N' Game: Naruto: Uzukami |
If we could change some anything it would be the non-skippable cut-scenes and the lack of checkpoints on a mission. It sucks having to watch the scenes over and over again because you died at the end of the last mission.

Featured 'O' Game: Obscure 2 |
It’s as if Hydravision made a list of all that’s tiresome about the this genre then carefully made sure not one item on the list was left out of this game. Then added co-op to apologise for it.

|
Featured 'P' Game: Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 |
Without the embarrassing frame rate of its next-gen cousin, Pro Evo 2008 is a low-key, but dependable, entry in the once thriving footy franchise. The formula here has already been pillaged, but it’s not as suicidal as the PS3 version.

Featured 'S' Game: Shin Megami Tensai: Persona 3 |
Even if you really love RPGs you can’t play them all because it’d take forever, but here’s one you don’t have to play. It doesn’t look very nice, gets repetitive going to school every day and killing demons nightly, and Rogue Galaxy is still available and better.

Featured 'T' Game: Thrillville: Off the Rails |
For short, sharp bursts of Multitap action, there’s no better game than Off The Rails, and it’s a decent crack in single-player, too. It’ll never feel like your nurturing your very own leisure empire, but it’ll always be good, clean fun.
