In case you haven’t heard Batman: Arkham Asylum is getting a demo on PSN. It will be hitting this Friday (August 7) and is basically the early stages of the game as you deliver The Joker to Arkham and then everything goes a little bonkers. It’s well worth having a look if only to try out the ‘FreeFlow’ combat system and get a feel for the stealth mechanics. Like dogs, insane inmates of Arkham can’t look up!
Hothead Games has confirmed that platform-puzzler Braid, previously only available for the 360 and PS3 will be making its way to the PS3

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Craig Karlan has indicated that he does not believe Activision’s attempt to delay the release of EA published videogame Brutal Legend is likely to be successful, but has delayed hearing the case for another week. Activision is suing Double Fine to block the release of the game claiming that it still owns the rights and has invested $15 million into its production. Double Fine countersued last month saying that Activision breached their contract and are only trying to protect sales of Guitar Hero from competition.

Sony has revealed its quarterly financial records and it isn’t all very positive reading. Game business revnue for instance was own by 18 per cent from last year. PS3 sold 1.1 million in Q1 2009 as opposed to the 1.6 million that were shifted in the same time last year. PSP was also hit by the economic downturn dropping by 2.4 million units compared to last year, down to 1.3 million.
