Easy platinum trophies: do they exist?
My shocking platinum trophy confession, as well as a call to arms. Help me bag a plat!
My name is Ian Dransfield. I am a staff writer for Play magazine and I have a confession to make: I do not have a single platinum trophy.
Phew – feels better to get that off my chest, I have to say. But surely I’m supposed to have at least one platinum? Surely I’ve played at least one game enough to rack one up? Well, no. I haven’t. Even though my job involves playing a hell of a lot of games, I still haven’t been able to get the top honour, rewarded to those who put in their time (and then some).
So I want to remedy this. I want this to change. I want to get my first platinum trophy, so I can take my place among the cream of the crop, the crème de la crème, the people-wot-is-really-good-at-games. And I need your help.
What games would you, the PS3-players out there, recommend to pick up those plats? What games don’t rely on putting in a huge amount of time to multiplayer? Don’t ask you to finish the game eight times on super-hard for a bronze on the way? Avoid the urge to demand the player kills 82,000 brick walls with a knife for a single bronze trophy to contribute to the total?
I know this isn’t going to be easy – that’s why platinums are the ultimate reward for your time and effort. But all the same, I want to bag me one, and I want to be pointed down the path of least resistance. Help me get a platinum trophy, and I will… well, I’ll have a platinum trophy and I’ll probably be a bit happy for a bit.

i only got 1 plat trophy and it was from uncharted 2 wasnt to hard to get giv it a go
Burnout Paradise is a pretty easy Plat, only you need a PSEye to get one of the trophies. Other than that, fantastic game which won’t require effort to finish.
Terminator Salvation. Just play the game on hard once and you’ll get the plat. You can also play co-op through the whole thing and get the platinum, it would be even easier.

I have those 6, none of them were very difficult or time-consuming.
There are quite a few potentially easy platinums on my list but I can’t be bothered to play that far. My current one’s are:
Lego Indy 2
Terminator Salvation
Uncharted Drake’s Fortune
But Buzz and Need For Speed Shift should be fairly easy platinums too if I could be bothered.
… oh and Heavy Rain
- The Saboteur (this one is tedious though).
- Heavy Rain (the multiple endings trophy is very tedious too).
- DeadSpace (there are only 2 bronze trophies I can think of, that most people will have trouble with).
- Mafia 2 (just make sure to play on HARD mode, your first time through).
- Terminator Salvation
I only have two platinums, and they’re The Godfather 2 and Fallout 3.
I don’t think Fallout 3 is a real easy one to get. Well, it’s easy, but it’s fairly time consuming, though not as time consuming as most platinums.
The Godfather 2, on the other hand, was super easy. I only did one playthrough, and it took me maybe 10 hours to get the platinum. That would be my number one suggestion for an easy platinum.
Seriously you did an article asking people for help on how to get an easy platinum?

over the last 2 weeks i have gotten 4 platinums, wwe legends of wrestling (2 nights to plat), superstar v8(one night to plat), heavy rain (3 days to plat)and uncharted: drakes fortune (2 days to plat).
i have enough platinum trophies, the easiest ones i got were burnout, mw2 (because i had good spec ops friend), uncharted 2, killzone 2(a week of multiplayer), and battlefield bad company 2 (destruction 2.0 might take a while…)
Assassin’s Creed 2 can be done in one playthrough. Great game to boot.
2 and three days to plat a game = no life jeez….well at least for those couple of days
By far the easiest plat I’ve gotten out of the 7 I have is WWE Legends of Wrestlemania.
Terminator: Salvation. 4 hours and you are done
Hanna Montana 3 hours and move one
You should try playing movie games like UP, Toy Story, etc
I don’t currently have a plat, but on my first playthrough on assasins creed II I got 91%, the rest are bronzes so with abit more effort that shudn’t be too difficult to get.
Hannah Montana The Game is my easiest platinum. It took me 2 hours and I only rented the game. The downside is when people see it, they judge you
I only have one platinum and it’s Lego Harry Potter. It’s pretty easy to get platinum on.
I got Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time in about 30 hours, and it was a ton of fun to play through! Also Terminator Salvation took about 6 hours to plat.
I have 10 platinum trophies, just got assasins creed 2, the easiest was the God of War collection, you can get platinum on 1 playthrough on GOW 2, and 2 playthroughs on GOW 2.
Terminator salvation is so shitty it isn’t even worth the trophies.
Uncharted is really hard on the hardest difficulty, same with Uncharted 2.
Heavy Rain would take forever because you have to get all 21 different endings.
God of War 3 was also easy as pie.
Need for Speed shift is insanely time consuming and has TONS of multiplayer bullshit trophies.
DON’T get Red Faction Guerilla for the trophies, they’re insanely difficuly and time consuming.
If someone got Superstar V8 plat in one day they need to go outside, get a job, get a life, seriously.
First of all, no platinums means you are E-NOBODY. Good point you want to change it, but… getting only easy plats is like to be NOOBISH E-NOBODY, even worse than before. You are writer of play magazine, You are public person, shame isnt acceptable! Be hard, fight it, list for YOU:

i have 5 platinums, i found God of war 1 and 2 in the collection to be easy to get platinums. Also have platinums in need for speed undercover and shift.
I have 11, but the fastest one was easily prince of persia, the forgotten sands.
I myself have 23 platinums (just platinumed Split/Second last night). I would have to say that my easiest platinum was most definitely Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time. Sure, Uncharted isn’t very hard and here are others you could go with (Hannah Montanna if you want to sacrifice a chunk of your masculinity) but R&C is the easiest. My hardest platinum was Dead Space, so stay away from that…..unless you’ve already played it.
It’s lame, but Hannah Montana the Movie the game, will take under 5 hours. That will be your Platinum trophy. Get excited.
Madden 11 & Batman Arkham Asylum. I have plats in both of those & they were fairly easy.
Saw. It sounds retarded I know. I rented the game when it released. Beat it and had a platinum trophy 4 days later. 1 playthrough. Just make sure u use something different everytime u kill someone. My first platinum trophy out of 4
Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection was the easiest platinum to achieve. Some others are InFamous, Dante’s Inferno, R&C Future: ACiT, GOW Collection…double platinum.
I have 7 and im so proud, god of war 3 was pretty hard, bt i gt it, well chuffed.
Bt ill say the eaysiest one i gt was probaly dantes inferno.. piece of cake.
Go for that or uncharted 2!
Godfather 2 is the fastest easiest game I know of to Platinum. It only takes one play though. I’ve heard Terminator is quick and easy but I imagine you would enjoy Godfather 2 more.
I have 16 platinums – Terminator Salvation platinum by far is the easiest. As one play through on hard earns you it.
Others require some effort
Uncharted 1 – 3 play throughs to find all the treasures
Unchartes 2 – 2 play throughs

Dynasty warriors is faily easy and burnout and atm i’m going for fallout 3
Assassin’s Creed II (just print out a map of each city & mark down where you find the feathers, it’ll save you a lot of backtracking when you only need one or two more!).
Otherwise The Saboteur, nothing that hard, just a little time consuming – blowing up everything. Hey, at least it’s fun
The easiest, yet hardest platinum to get is defintely Terminator Salvation. The game is pretty short, about 6 to 8 hours, and you get the platinum just for playing through on Hard. The tough part about getting that trophy is that the game is pretty bad…
Fallout 3 is pretty easy especially on Very Easy setting. Also Mercenaries 2 and Infamous were both pretty straight forward IMO.

have fun , those are pretty much the easiest and you can plat em less than a day.
Sadly enough, D. Vader’s response is an example of why I stopped going to N4G. Ask a simple question, get a moronic answer.

Out of the 5 I currently have, Ratchet and Clank a Crack in Time was the easiest and arugably the most fun to get. Dead Space isn’t too bad, Uncharted on impossible made me throw a controller. I’m woriking on Trine’s now and it doesn’t seem like it will be too difficult. Terminator Salvation only has something like twelve trophies and they are all gold and suposedly pretty eas to get so it would be good for a score boost. I would stay away from Hannah Montanna on principle if you aren’t a trophy whore, if you are then you might as well go for it as it’s the easiest.

All in all i recommend platinuming games you really enjoy and not the Hannah Montanas or the Terminator Salvations just for the sake of a juicy platinum lighting up your trophy case. Also just play games with story modes only. Like God of war or Spider-man shattered Dimensions.

I was going to offer my help, but I think everyone else pretty much covered it.
I have only one platinum trophy after striving long and hard for one as you seem to have done Ian (most games I get to about 75-90% of the trophies).
My one platinum is for MW2 – the one’s for completing the game/getting all the intel are fairly straightforward and the one’s you get for doing certain things (such as killing a certain number of people while you’re down) can all be achieved pretty easily using the Spec-Ops mode on easy and setting yourself up for them.
That just leaves completing all the Spec-Ops of Extreme. That can take a few gos and you probably need someone who is fairly handy to help you, but you can quite easily learn most of the missions which helps. The difficult one’s are the 2 with just juggernaughts – on the oil rig you just have to be patient and snipe them and there is a trick to doing the Fuvela one by playing on 2 player and hiding in one of the buildings on the far right of the map – that way one of you can stab the jugs and keep getting killed, whilst the 2nd player is protected and can keep healing – it’s slow and boring, but it works.

i have 36 plats, and all of them were easy, split second took about 8 hrs (mp took 90 mins), terminators very easy and about 3.5 hrs but i wouldn’t recommend the game. seeing as you have over 500 bronze trophies, why not play something from start to finish? white knight chronicles is really easy if you have a spare 600 hrs?
dude, my plats have taken me 18 months to achieve and the reason i collect them is they increase the replay value for games we spend £40 on – for the ultimate trophy you should have to play through a game on the hardest difficulty without dying, or replay it 5 times to unlock different endings, these trophies take stamina (on most games anyway)
There are alot of people saying MW2, Uncharted, Burnout paradise, GoW, dead space, ratchet and clank, etc all have easy platinums, fact is, they really arent that easy to obtain.
Assasins creed 2 is however a really easy game to plat. Most difficult trophy to collect would be to find all glyphs and find all feathers, but if your that desperate, there are bound to be loads of online maps for them.
If your determined, you could get the assasins creed 2 trophy in under a day.
I Suppose this platinum trophy all depends on what gamer you are rite? i have 7 platinums and my next goal is God of war 1/2/3. If your into the car racing games then i suggest Burnout Paradise. But like me i hate racing games (although i did get the Burnout platinum). Uncharted was my first platinum which didnt take long, If you decide to do Uncharted 1 then just finish the game on hard, WHile on hard try and do as many Bronze trophies as possible and treasures so then when it comes to crushing you dont have to worry about it. A bit of advice with crushing difficulty is just never come out of cover unless its to shoot an enemy. And well good luck with the blue room, Thats just about luck.
I did the Terminator platinum just because i wanted some trophies and that took me 5 hours MAX. The most enjoyable platinum i did was Mafia 2 and that is a game that i still play now trying to get all the DLC.
From this all i can say is just dont focus on getting the platinum, Find a game enjoyable and finish it as much as you can. Once you’ve done that you’ll only be say 10 trophies off, thats when you focus on th platinum because you enjoyed the game so much your willing to go back and get just them last 10.

I got like 50% in a few hours, some trophies are way too easy.
Platinum in maybe a day of playing, easy as pie.
theres a new game called megamind thats supposed to be a 2 hour platinum that you trophy whores may want to try.
I have 28 platinums so far but plan on getting a lot more very soon once i can be chewed with infamous, assassins creed II, trivial pursuit etc etc at the moment im taking a little break from getting platinums and just enjoying gaming whenever i have time off work.
As far as getting easy platinums though you can get hannah montana, terminator and megamind all in the same day if you have a spare afternoon lol
I’ve had my fair share of easy platinums but ive also grinded a fair few aswell, i have Unreal tournament platinum which took a long time and im also 2 trophies away from socom which has taken me 8 months (i refuse to hack by the way)

I found Cars – Race – O – Rama Platinum trophy really, really easy, for me it took at least 2 hours
Green Day Rockband: took me 2 days! 1 hard trophy like, it was some expert ones! But Still, Hey Nice Plats!
Pretty easy Plats for me were GODFATHER 2, MADDEN 11, and ASSASSINS CREED 2. At least those are my 3 plats. I’m close in UNCHARTED 1&2 as well as NCAA 12. The GF one, just gotta make sure u get everything, and no difficulty level so thats what makes it pretty easy. Same thing with ASSASSINS CREED 2.
Next I’ma work on INFAMOUS or BIOSHOCK 2. Hope this helps a bit in ur Plat trophy hunt.
LA Noire Is Easy To Get a Platinum in that was my first platinum
DUDE SERIOUSLY u want an easy plat ? and play a fun game that will take 3 hours including a piss break etc then try MEGAMIND! can buy that game for about 12 squid Good Luck
Rugby world cup 2011 was fairly easy….. rugby fans should be able to get this long before the game gets tiresome… also ‘Saw’ is a one playthrough platinum…just repeat the last chapter to get both endings….
Terminator: Salvation is very easy only 4 hours.
L.A Noire was incredibly easy and enjoyable to play through. Will take about 30 hours though and the gold film reels take some searching for, as can one or two of the vehicles.
Almost have GOW3 and infamous trophies and both are excellent games
