Borderlands Legends gives us hope for a Vita version. Sort of.

Borderlands Legends Shows Series Can Work On Handheld - Vita Next?
Borderlands not being on PS3, yesterday.

Borderlands Legends is coming to iOS. And? Well, does this show the potential direction a version of Borderlands on Vita could go? Maybe. But who knows? More importantly: is this just a space-filling blog because I couldn’t come up with anything else?

Maybe.

But would Legends coming to Vita be what we (“I”) want? Nah, not really. The Vita has already proven itself one of the best pure-gaming handhelds that has ever been made (seriously, just hold one for ten minutes and you’ll understand).

Resistance: Burning Skies was ass, but it served as a great proof-of-concept for the idea of proper FPS titles on Vita. As such, Borderlands on Vita would have to go down that route.

Maybe Legends will be ported on the cheap, released on PSN for a few quid and used as something to test the water. Maybe it won’t. Maybe I’ll put more words here as filler. Maybe I won’t.

But it would be good to see a proper Borderlands on PS Vita. The machine is capable, the tech is strong enough, the everything else works, the oh sorry I have to get back to doing other work. You get the point.

Bye!
