Uncharted 4 May Not Be 60fps Says Naughty Dog
If you’re someone who is obsessed with framerate, then you won’t be happy to hear that Uncharted 4 may not be 60fps.
“We’re actually above 30, but we locked it [for the demo], Straley said in an interview with Edge, referring to the recent demo of Uncharted 4 that ran at 30fps.
That doesn’t mean that Naughty Dog won’t try and get Uncharted 4 running at 60fps on PS4, but Straley has indicated that it is far from being Naughty Dog’s priority.
“We’re going to do whatever it takes to make the game we want to make. If it means we could go for 60 but lose something that would really impact the player’s experience, then it’s our choice as developers to say, ‘Well, we’re going to go for the experience over the 60 frames.'”
Naughty Dog’s previous games have run at 30fps, but it’s worth bearing in mind that the PS4 version of The Last of Us did run at 60fps.
