Hotline Miami 2 Devs Want Australians To Pirate The Game

Hotline Miami 2 has been refused classification in Australia, but developers Dennaton have come up with a solution for Australians who want to play the game. Just pirate it instead.

After receiving an email from an Australian fan who wanted to find a way of obtaining and paying for the game, developer Jonatan Söderström replied,”if it ends up being not released in Australia, just pirate it after release. No need to send us any money, just enjoy the game!”

Hotline Miami 2 was refused classification based on a scene which seems to imply sexual violence. The scene in question had previously been criticised when it appeared in a demo of the game, with the developers saying that they where reconsidering its inclusion.

It would appear, however, that the developers have now decided that the inclusion of the scene in question is justifiable when seen in context. We’ll have to wait until we can play the game to discover whether that is the case or not when Hotline Miami comes to PS4.
