Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Revealed
The sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, has been officially announced after screenshots of the game were leaked online.
Square Enix had been teasing a reveal via their Can’t Kill Progress ARG, but the leaking of the screenshots prompted the reveal to be brought forward.
According to Game Informer, Mankind Divided is set two years after the conclusion to Human Revolution in 2029. Adam Jenson returns as the protagonist as part of a taskforce that tracks and captures augmented terrorists.
The canon ending to Human Revolution has been established as one in which the Illuminati caused every transhuman to attack anyone in their vicinity. In the wake of that event, transhumans are now hated and feared by the world at large, hence the ‘Mankind Divided’ title.
There is no release date for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided at present, but platforms have been announced, with the game coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC.
We’re big fans of the open-ended gameplay and focus on player choice that the Deus Ex series provides, as well as the iconic and stylish design of its world. As such, we’re delighted to get confirmation that a new Deus Ex is on its way.
