Could Assassin’s Creed: Unity End Up At 1080p On PS4?
In case you’ve missed all the fuss around Assassin’s Creed: Unity, Ubisoft has revealed that both PS4 and Xbox One versions of Assassin’s Creed: Unity will run at 900p.
People aren’t happy about that due to the suggestion that the reason Assassin’s Creed: Unity is 900p on PS4 is that it’s been scaled back to ensure parity with the Xbox One version and, in Unity’s senior producer Vincent Pontbriand’s words, “avoid all the debate and stuff”.
Ubisoft has said that’s not the case and that people have misunderstood that quote. Since a bit of fuss was kicked up about it though, Ubisoft has returned again to tell Eurogamer that the final technical specifications for the PS4 and Xbox One haven’t been locked down yet.
Does this mean that Ubisoft is reconsidering and that the PS4 version of Assassin’s Creed: Unity could end up being 1080p? It’s a possibility, or perhaps it is just trying to quieten all the chat around resolution and Assassin’s Creed: Unity.
If we had to bet, we’d say Assassin’s Creed: Unity will still end up being 900p on PS4, but there’s at least some hope for those among you who are desperate to see the game at 1080p.
