Exclusive Black Ops Multiplayer Coverage in Play Issue 196

It’s been a long time coming but the wait is finally over, Call Of Duty: Black Ops is here! Well the multiplayer reveal is anyway and it comes courtesy of Play. We are the first magazine to actually play the multiplayer modes in their entirety and travel out to the studio to spend some time with developer, Treyarch

After our visit we can confirm that Black Ops is good, very good. Though the Modern Warfare series is hailed as the pinnacle of multiplayer action, Treyarch is more than capable of delivering an experience equal to Infinity Ward’s efforts and with this game it’s looking to better even that. So to find out just why your weathered copy of MW2 can soon take a well-earned break check out our exhaustive feature in issue 197 of Play – it’s the only place you’ll get genuine Black Ops multiplayer shots and info.

While talking of new additions to popular franchises we’ve also been spending some serious game time with this year’s most exciting updates: Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow, Fallout: New Vegas and The Force Unleashed II are just a few of the sequels featured in this issue. We deliver reviews of the follow-ups to Kane & Lynch and Mafia – so an issue for sequels, for sure, but (as with Play) if the quality keeps improving with every new addition we don’t mind a bit.

Pick up your copy of Play from all good newsagents, download it on iTunes or order it from the Imagine eShop here.

I heard the game is bad, so why bum it prior to its release?

      Because it’s good?
