Some are calling it the worst-kept secret in the history of all things ever and, frankly, they may be right. Still, yesterday evening saw Sony’s Gamescom conference and with it the official announcement of the PS3 Slim – 32 per cent smaller, 36 per cent lighter and eating up 34 per cent less power.

At first we thought it looked a bit iffy, but already the little blighter is growing on us and – as it’s going to cost around the £250 mark – it’s sure to see a massive sales increase for Sony, meaning even more wonderful readers for Play mag! We hope.
