PlayStation Home begins its aSALT (ho ho)

Those who log in to PlayStation Home on a regular basis are few and far between, if we’re being painfully honest. Fortunately, there are still those trying to make the experience appeal to more gamers by adding more content to tempt us back in. This time it’s the turn of Outso, who made the Uncharted 2 Home space, to make something of their own and lure the drifters into Home.

That something is a ‘mini-MMO’ called Sodium One, which sees players take part in a Dune-inspired world of tanks, taverns and (t)scorpions, questing and battling throughout. It’s based on micro-transactions, like so many other ‘free’ online games and means you won’t have to pay to play it if you don’t want. Though it also means you can if you want to.

The game should be available right now, if words in other places are to be believed. This may well be the beginning of something wonderful on Home. Then again, it may be the beginning of the end. WE SHALL SEE.
