GTA V Coming Out Next Year? Don’t Worry About It

If GTA V gets ‘delayed’ to next year, there’s going to be a lot of crying. But not from us. (OK maybe a little.)

GTA V Coming Out Next Year? Don’t Worry About It

We’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: if GTA V moves to next year there won’t be too much in the way of crying and gnashing of teeth doing the rounds here at Play.

After Take-Two’s recent financial report, there’s been a lot of speculation about whether the game is going to fill the void recently left by Bioshock Infinite later this year, or move to Rockstar’s traditional (for this generation at least) release spot of April-May.

If it’s the former, and it’s finished, then great. Bring it on and we’ll see you on the digital streets the second it comes out. If it’s the latter? Sure, we’ll be disappointed. We’d looking forward to getting our hands on it as much as everyone else even remotely interested in the series, but there’s no point getting it early and finding out it’s totally rushed.

Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto said it best (maybe): ‘A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever’.

Granted, this was before Duke Nukem Forever. But we get the point. Take as much time as you need, Rockstar. We’ll wait.
