Battlefield 3: Boycott Missing Frames And Resolutions
I literally cannot BELIEVE PS3 owners are getting screwed over so badly by DICE. It’s literally made me literally sob salty, warm tears all the way down my knees and into my socks. Literally.
Well, it turns out we’re getting completely screwed over by DICE when it comes to the PS3 version of Battlefield 3. We all put our faith in them, but they’re letting us down – they’ve decided, like the evil bastards they are, that we’re not worth giving all of the features to.
What am I talking about? Read on – and apologies if it gets a bit too technical here.
It turns out the PC version of BF3 will run at 60 frames per second and be rendered at 1080p. The PS3 version, on the other hand, will run at 30 frames per second and render at 720p.
How is this possible? How can DICE decide to give us 30 less frames? I want all the frames I can get every second of my life, and if I get anything less than 60 I feel like my soul is about to explode. I DEMAND MY MISSING 30 FRAMES, DICE.
As for the resolution? Well, in layman’s terms, it means PS3 gets 360 less ‘resolutings’ than the PC. Again, we’re being short-changed and I will not stand for it.
Now, I don’t know what DICE is doing with all the frames and resolutings it’s saving – that it’s holding back from us – but I bet it’s for something nefarious and Swedish, like making meatballs or helping with building some Ikea goods.
So I am urging a boycott of Battlefield 3: unless DICE sends me a package containing my missing, rightful frames per second and the resolutings I require to feel truly whole, I will not be buying the game.
Well, I probably will buy it, but I won’t enjoy it.
Well, I’ll buy it and enjoy it, but I won’t sit down while I’m playing it.
Alright, I’ll sit down too. Don’t want to tire my legs out.
Also I don’t really care that DICE wants to keep hold of its extra frames per second and resolutings.
