I have bought your magazine twice now for my son(10).
He has difficulty subtracting the EXTRA’s from the DVD delivered with your wonderfull magazine; like themes and wallpapers for his PS3. I also seem to be unable to reach the EXTRA’s from the DVD with my PC.
My son has recently finished InFamous; still he awaits the cheat codes for this game. The Booklet delivered with PLAY this month has a walktrough map says he. He says: “I already walked trough”. He only has trouble with the police station accordingly….!!!
Please be so kind as to help us out.

Thanks for your message. The extras on the DVD (eBooks, game saves, wallpapers etc.) can be accessed through a PC (or Mac) and are located in the DVD-ROM folder on the disc. I don’t think any specific cheats codes have been revealed for inFamous at the moment – although we’ll print any in the magazine as they become available.

i`ve been away from the gaming scene since about late 99 & used to buy your mag every month without fail,i missed out on the ps2 until recently, which then led me to get a 60gb ps3,the only thing missing …..!a good mag, so i gets out all my old back issues of play to try & find a web address ..no luck so i asks on the psn forum if play magazine is still going & someone said yes ,so i google it & here i am & can i just say it feels sooooooooo good to be back, i feel all warm & fuzzy inside now ,i`ve got so much to catch up on where do i begin?.
i gotta be honest i am so glad play is still going strong, you used to give the best reviews & everything was crammed packed into a nice sized monthly ……… viva le PLAY !
hi i buy your magazine every month and every month i am unable to access the extras on the free dvd on my pc im just wondering if i need a specific program or if there is something wrong with the dvd

The extras are found in the ROM folder on the DVD – you’ll need to use a PC or a Mac to access them. Cheers.

I got the DVD from UK and I can’t play it on my North America PS3 (it doesn’t play PAL), is there a North America version of your mag? Thanks a bunch!
Play is distributed in North America, but it comes with the same PAL disc I’m afraid. It’s a relatively small market for us, so it isn’t worth the additional cost it would require to produce two versions of the disc.

My friend and I have recently read up about game reviewing or ‘testing’. I have looked on the Sony PS3 website and I couldn’t find an email/phone. So I thought you (PLAY) would may be the best people to go to. I have a subscription to your magazine and I love reading it! So is PLAY looking for a new reviewer/tester? hello there, I recently got your issue 186 (the one with Gran Turismo 5 on the cover), and it looks great. One thing however: the DVD promised a feature on Dante’s Inferno, but I couldnt find it with the other features. It was replaced with a feature on Army of Two, i believe. Did you guys make an error on this, or am I just missing something? I’m looking forward to the Dante’s Inferno game, you see.

I am looking forward to Just cause 2 so do you think that since you were sent a preview copy of the game that you could maybe include some stunt footage in your next dvd?
P.S I was just wondering if any single-player cheats have been discovered in Bioshock 2 and if so could you please publish it in your upcoming issue?
i just bought the alien vs predator play magazine and i put the disc in and there is no game save please help
Hi Alex,
You need to put the DVD into a PC or Mac. From there select the folder called ‘DVD ROM’ and inside that is a folder of PS3 saves, as well as PSP saves and other goodies.
Hi Nick, I hate call of duty and think it is the worst game ever.
i demand a new review of MAG, your pitiful original score was misleading and nearly resulted in me not buying the game, fortunately i rarely listen to advice and thank god and sweet jesus i did’nt heed plays advice..
what a fantastic game and superior support from zipper and it puts that broken glitchy mess – MW2 in the shade,
a superior, intelligent FPS.

I brought the mag and when i put the disk into my PS3 it just comes out again. I Have tried atleast 10 times!
I have been collecting your sister publication powerstation mag for years,, they go way back to the PS1/2 days,,, I was disappointed to see it go over to xbox & nintendo last year & to even drop the PS2 listings, I have just found out that its now ceased publishing, was it for the above reason that this happened, I recall alot of the loyal PS owner/readers felt they’d been let down when this happened, giving up precious pages to another format, anyway very sorry to see its gone

11 years old the PS2 maybe but you can still buy them & they still make games for them, so to assume a playstation dedicated mag would still feature these games I don’t think is unreasonable, I enjoyed Powerstation for many years & do get the other mags, I just wondered why it ceased publication,

I need help… I’ve found the location of the wallpapers and themes, but now what do I do…
I put it on a USB and tried transferring it onto my ps3 but it wont work……..

you need to put a ZIP on your files on your computer before putting them on the PS3. Hope this helps

Just to let you know, the Play magazine is AWESOME!!! I’m going to subscribe, is there any website where you can subscribe to play and get a free ps3 games? Ive seen some before… I’m still looking. Also, I made a u.s account, mainly so that I could buy spyro 2, and I wondered whether u.k psn cards work with a us account, and if not, where is the place to buy us psn cards( in the uk)?

You need US PSN cards to buy US content. Check eBay for them, though you’ll have to shop around to get them at a decent price.
